Lilia Cedillo launches the Sports Medicine School Laboratory at BUAP – El Sol de Puebla

The Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) boasts from this Tuesday the laboratory school of medicine and sciences applied to sport in University City (CU), after being inaugurated by the rector of the highest house of studies, Lilia Cedillo Ramirez.

The laboratory, it should be noted, has equipment for cardiology and cycle ergometerthe latter to measure force and diagnose injuries.

In addition, there are areas of biochemistry for clinical analysis, psychological care, and dental, medical, and nutrition offices.

Although these spaces will be used by BUAP athletes, they will also remain provision of state athletes.

“Now we can carry out laboratory studies and give a stronger support to the coaches and obviously the beneficiaries will be our athletes. These facilities will also support the work of the Faculty of Physical Culture, since with these laboratory studies we will give rise to research work”, said the rector of the highest house of studies in the state during the inauguration ceremony.

“It will be a place where athletes from Puebla find health and prevention,” he added.

The laboratory school of medicine and sciences applied to sport It will operate from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.except the dental office, which will work from 08:00 to 16:00.

The opening of the venue was attended by the head of the Poblano Sports Institute, Yadira Lira Navarro.

After entering into operations the laboratory started up on First Sports Medicine Symposium at the Ciudad Universitaria (CU) Convention Center, this event is organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Culture. The first conference was given by Ángel Piedra Valdés, doctor of the national Judo team and specialist in Sports Medicine.
