During broadcasts of AEW Dynamite through TBS and Fite TV, the fighter Jamie Hayter was declared the undisputed women’s champion after Thunder Rosa vacated the title.
In this Wednesday’s episode in Chicago, Illinois, Renee Paquette spoke to the public to clarify the situation of the Women’s Championship. After a mutual agreement with All Elite Wrestling, and following her extensive recovery time, Thunder Rosa has opted to vacate the AEW Women’s Title. This allows Jamie Hayter to be declared as the official champion, removing the “interim” badge from the title.
This event marks the end of Thunder Rosa’s reign. The competitor reached the 252-day mark since her victory at AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick’s Day Slam 2022. Rosa defeated Britt Baker on March 16 in San Antonio, Texas to make her first reign within the company official.
Secondly, Jamie Hayter wins the AEW World Women’s Championship, being his first title reign within All Elite Wrestling. The fighter’s reign officially began four days ago in Full Gear 2022. Hayter defeated interim champion Toni Storm to win the women’s belt before being declared the official champion.
