Is the sixth wave due to Covid-19 approaching? Health reports an increase in infections in the country

With the entry of the cold season in the country, an increase in active cases of Covid-19which increased from four thousand 626, from the epidemiological week number 46 cut to November 14, and week 47 cut to November 21, in which 5,957 active cases were registered.

According to the Weekly Technical Report, carried out by the Ministry of Health (SSa)Since the start of the pandemic and until November 21, seven million 125 thousand 098 cases of Covid-19 have been registered, when last week there were seven million 118 thousand 933 cases.

Likewise, the number of deaths has increased, and went from 330,444 last week, to 330,495 that the federal agency registered until November 21. The distribution by sex in the confirmed deaths shows a predominance of 62% in men; and the median age at death is 64 years.

Regarding the rate of active cases per 100,000 inhabitants, in the first 10 places are: Yucatán, Quintana Roo, Mexico City, Colima, Campeche, Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Aguascalientes and Zacatecas.

And in relation to the entity of residence of the 5,957 active cases, Mexico City is in first place with 1,453 of them; Yucatan follows in second place with 641; and in third place, Quintana Roo with 438.

In contrast, the entities with the lowest number of active cases in the country are: Chiapas with only 14; Tlaxcala with 19; and Durango with 21 active cases.
