Leon, Guanajuato.- A 17-year-old girl died after falling from a motorcycle in the colony el carmenin Lion.
The young woman was traveling with her partner, who was injured and was taken to a hospital where her health is reported to be in serious condition.
The incident was reported at 8:15 p.m. on the Vicente Valtierra Boulevard corner with San José del Potrero street.
Minutes earlier, Liliana was traveling with her boyfriend José Oscar, 18, on a black Italika-type motorcycle, heading to a XV-year rehearsal at the Villas de San Juan neighborhood.
The youths were driving on the high-speed lane in the Vicente Valtierra Boulevard in the direction of boulevard light.
A few meters from San José del Potrero street, the young man lost control of the motorcycle and hit a mesquite tree head-on, for which both were thrown.
Drivers reported the incident to 911, so elements of the Road Police came to corroborate the report.
They requested support from an ambulance and diverted traffic to avoid another mishap.
Paramedics came and provided first aid to both victims, but Liliana was already dead.
His partner was transferred to a hospital where he was reported in serious health due to the injuries he had.
