A loud explosion occurred in the Paredon Pemex Station of an ethane gas pipeline, located in the ranchería of the same name in the municipality of Huimanguillo, Tabascowith no reports of victims so far.
According to the State Civil Protection Institute, Petróleos Mexicanos has informed it that there are no injuries or risk to the population since the closest homes are approximately 2 kilometers away from where the incident occurred.
“It is worth mentioning that the valves have already been closed; So far, the cause of the explosion is unknown,” the Civil Protection Institute reported in a brief statement. However, it has transpired that it was a backhoe that caused the pipeline to rupture.
At the time of the incident, the staff was evacuated, and in various videos circulating on social networks, the workers of this Pemex station can be seen, who were brought to safety, in addition to the intensity of the fire.

Coincidentally, the National Seismological Service System (SSN) reported a earthquake that was generated at 1:40 p.m. with an epicenter 6 kilometers northeast of Huimanguillo, Tabasco, affirming the state governor that there was no damage or major incidents.
