According to the Truth Commission report on the case, Rodríguez Pérez presumably ordered the execution and disappearance of six normalistas. In the notification made by the second district judge of federal criminal proceedings in the state of Mexico, within criminal case 15/2022, the fulfillment of the arrest warrants was only for organized crime.

Through an information card released by the groups that have followed up on the relatives (Miguel Agustín Pro Juárez Human Rights Center, Tlachinollan Mountain Human Rights Center, Fundar and Serapaz), it is explained that arrest warrants have been served. against “Eduardo Mota Esquivel, for organized crime and forced disappearance, and José Martínez Crespo –who was already deprived of liberty accused of organized crime–, for forced disappearance.”

Fabián Alejandro Pirita Ochoa was also arrested for organized crime and forced disappearance of persons. The four are inmates in the military prison located in military camp 1-A.

Regarding the acquittal within criminal case 66/2015, regarding the crime “aggravated kidnapping”, in addition to Abarca, Felipe Flores Velásquez, Alejandro Andrade de la Cruz, Arturo Calvario, Baltazar Martínez, Hugo Salgado Wences, Fausto Bruno were also acquitted. Heredia, Hugo Salgado Wences, José Vicencio Flores, Juan Luis Hidalgo, Marco Antonio Rodríguez, Mario Cervantes, Miguel Ángel Hernández, Nicolás Delgado, Osvaldo Arturo Vázquez, Raúl Cisneros, Rubén Alday Marín, Salvador Herrera, Zulaid Marino and Juan Armando Hurtado.

At the same time, last Friday the second district judge of criminal proceedings in the state of Mexico notified the families of the execution of arrest warrants against José Luis Abarca Velázquez for the crime of organized crime and against Felipe Flores Velázquez , for the crimes of organized crime and forced disappearance of persons within criminal case 15/2022, as well as María de los Ángeles Pineda Villa, for organized crime.
