Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the Government of Mexico City, announced that Grupo Firme will give his concert in the Zócalo of Mexico City on September 25 at 8:00 p.m.
On May 6, Sheinbaum announced that the group would give a free concert in the Zócalo of Mexico City, although he did not disclose the date.
Through Sheinbaum’s TikTok account, Grupo Firme confirmed the date of the concertwhich is added to others that have been presented after the covid-19 pandemic.
The members of the band invited the population to go to the Zócalo square to see Eduin Caz’s ensemble for free.
The group thanked “her friend” Claudia Sheinbaum for the facilities provided for the concert.
With the hashtag #GrupoFirmeEnZócalo, the head of government also announced the concert through Twitter: “Promised is debt! next september 25 @GrupoFirme It will be in the Zócalo of the City. # GrupoFirmeEnZócalo,” she announced.
Separately, the Mexico City government reported that lThe presentation of Grupo Firme will have no cost to the treasury, since all expenses will be provided by the musical group.
This year, Silvio Rodríguez, La Maldita Vecindad and Los Tigres del Norte have performed at the Zócalo and with it Grupo Firme joins the list.
