President Andrés Manuel López Obrador gave the first report on the earthquake recorded on the afternoon of this Monday, September 19.
He said that, according to the National Seismological, it was of magnitude 6.8 with an epicenter in Coalcomán, Michoacán.
“We wish with all our hearts that nothing serious has happened,” said President López Obrador.
In the National Palace, people who had nervous breakdowns were registered and were treated by their security colleagues.
President López Obrador was in his offices when the movement was registered.
Civil Protection personnel carried out a review of the headquarters of the federal Executive power.

Before, President López Obrador reported that he participated in the 2022 National Drill.
“Prevention against earthquakes or any emergency is very important. The responsible attitude of many Mexicans was highlighted. Thank you!” López Obrador wrote on social media.
The national seismological updated that the movement was of magnitude 7.4.
The National Coordination of Civil Protection reported that, at the moment, no damages are reported in the states where it was perceived. Monitoring is maintained.
