La Jornada – CFE will offer Internet and mobile telephony services throughout the country

Mexico City. The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) will offer Internet and mobile telephony services in the country’s 32 states through its subsidiary CFE Telecomunicaciones, Internet para Todos (TEIT), revealed the state company.

On its website, it detailed the data plans for mobile devices and telephony without forced deadlines, which will use mobile broadband with 4.5G technology.

According to the information, there are 12 packages, of which six are classified as individual, ranging from three to 30 days; three semi-annual, and the last three annual with different services and data capacity.

The most accessible price will be 30 pesos and will reach up to 2,100 pesos, according to the services that consumers require: telephone service, gigabytes in mobile data, hotspot and SMS, among others.

The company explained that the services can be paid with Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, as well as cash payments at Telecomm Telégrafos.

CFE TEIT will also offer the portability of the telephone number and the website allows you to check if the mobile device is compatible with the network of the state company.

“Our network covers the need for connectivity at the national level, reducing the digital divide between communities and bringing quality communications to every corner of the country,” the company highlighted.

The CFE subsidiary explained that users can go to 47 points of sale distributed in 13 states of the Republic that are, in a first stage, in the Telecomm branches in Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco , Michoacán, Nayarit, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Querétaro and San Luis Potosí.
