
A recorded earthquake in Baja California Sur magnitude 5 (the preliminary was 5.1) 74 kilometers northwest of the municipality of Santa Rosalina, it was this Saturday, August 6 at 11:08:23 p.m., as reported by the National Seismological Service (SSN).
The latitude was 27.70 and longitude -111.64, and the depth was 10 kilometers, said the SSN. The movement was felt in Guaymas and Empalme.
There are no variations in sea level
After the earthquake in Baja California Sur, the National Civil Protection Coordination (CNPC) there are no variations in sea level, that is, there is no tsunami alert according to the bulletin from the Navy’s Tsunami Warning Center.
The CNPC also reported that it will maintain communication with the state and municipal units of Civil Protection and the members of the National Emergency Committee (CNE), to carry out a preliminary evaluation of the area.
There are no damages due to the earthquake
