Ximena was born on April 14, 2004 in Zitacuaro, Michoacan. “The walk in Mexico is one of the sports with the greatest results, what we want is to maintain ourselves and we, as part of that new generation of athletes, try to achieve it and even improve it, that the discipline continues to stand out at the international level,” Serrano said in a interview for the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE)in May of this year.

According to information from Government of Mexico, CONADE granted support through the National March Program (PRONAM), which consists of providing the training space, food and lodging at the CNAR, as well as two vehicles to travel to the training sites.
