Juarez City- A group of investigative policemen belonging to the Specialized Unit in the Search for Absent and/or Disappeared Persons (Men) of the State Prosecutor’s Office in the North Zone, search a house in the Los Almendros subdivision.

State agents are looking for the body of a former custody commander of the State Center for Social Reinsertion (Cereso) number 3, who has been missing since June 25, when he was deprived of liberty by armed individuals who came to his farm located at kilometer 29 of the Juárez-Casas Grandes highway, informed an agent who asked to keep his identity.

The house under review is marked with the number 2432 of Palma Street, a few meters from Jacaranda Street, a building that was uninhabited and where the investigators arrived after field and intelligence work, carried out by the complaint filed by the wife of the disappeared Victor Raul Torres Merino.

The case is linked to the disappearance and murder of Martha Belém Esparza Guerrero, 39, who was also deprived of liberty in the same place, but hours before Commander Torres Merino and who was found dead, clandestinely buried in a house in the southeast of the city.

The investigators reviewed the property, put in a special equipment for the detection of bodies and found indications that a person could be buried in that house, for which a group of experts and an anthropologist from the FGE also arrived at the place.
