The Parisian club took advantage of the presentation of its uniform to announce a new main sponsor on its shirt
Paris Saint-Germain presented its uniform for the 2022/23 season and Brazilian Neymar is among the models of the new Parisian kit amid rumors of his departure from the club in this transfer window.
PSG used all its stars to show off to its fans the shirt they will wear throughout the next campaign and the main figure is Kylian Mbappewho decided to renew his link with the team from the French capital and reject the opportunity to join the real Madrid. Similarly, footballers like Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos are part of the club’s campaign for its new clothing.
On the other hand, the presence of Neymar in the presentation of the shirt could surprise the fans after the information published by the newspaper The country pointing out that the Parisian board informed the carioca that he is not part of the plans for the new project and they will look for a new team for him this summer.
According to the Spanish newspaper, the Brazilian feels “humiliated” by the treatment he has received from PSG, however, the French team is determined to finalize the departure of the carioca star and would even be willing to give him up and pay part of his high salary.
PSG took advantage of the presentation of its uniform to announce that Qatar Airways will be the new main sponsor on its shirt, an agreement that will bring the club between 60 and 70 million euros per season according to French media.
The Qatari airline will replace the French hotel group Accor as main sponsor from the 2022/23 season, in a multi-year agreement of which PSG did not disclose its duration or financial amount.
The new sponsor is accompanied by a new club shirt design, with a horizontal white stripe, flanked by two smaller red bands, which added to the dominant blue means that it includes the three colors of the French flag.
The new design, reminiscent of 2014, “combines tradition and modernity,” PSG said in its statement. The sponsorship agreement includes increased visibility for the airline within the Parc des Princes stadium.
The broadcaster RMC Sports and L’Equipe announced that the sponsorship of Qatar Airways, owned by the Qatari State, will bring PSG between 60 and 70 million euros per season.
The Parisian club, owned precisely by the Qatari sovereign fund, has been repeatedly accused of violating the rules of financial “fair play” of the UEFAespecially in recent weeks by the president of the Spanish Professional Football League, Xavier Thebes.
