Mexico City police captured a man accused of shooting his wife at the Suntory restaurant in Colonia del Valle.
The Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City, Omar García Harfuch, reported that a man who works as a driver for the detainee was also arrested.
The events were recorded at the Suntory Del Valle restaurant, located in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office.
Diners who were in the restaurant were the first to alert about the events and call the police, who in a few minutes surrounded the building.
Cash from the Banking Police arrived in the area to request medical services for the woman who was injured; paramedics who arrived at the site diagnosed her with no vital signs due to gunshot woundsthe police said in a statement.
Meanwhile, uniformed officers from the sector arrested the probable aggressor, a 79-year-old man, identified as the woman’s husband, when he tried to flee aboard a vehicle.
The luxury vehicles were parked in the restaurant’s parking lot, while experts entered the establishment to learn about the facts and begin the expert investigations.
