The State Steering Committee of the Institutional Revolutionary Party of Sonora reported that Claudia Pavlovich lost her militancy as a PRI member a few months after agreeing to be consul from Mexico in Barcelona.

Pavlovich has not fixed any position on the matter, in fact, his last post on Twitter was on September 11, 2021 on the eve of concluding her term as governor of Sonora.
