PRI expels Claudia Pavlovich after agreeing to be consul

The State Steering Committee of the Institutional Revolutionary Party of Sonora reported that Claudia Pavlovich lost her militancy as a PRI member a few months after agreeing to be consul from Mexico in Barcelona.

The commission instructed to notify the former governor and the party’s bodies, including the National Coordination of Party Membership and Registration “so that it proceeds to remove the list of militants.”

“In the same way, inform the National Coordination of Party Affiliation and Registration so that it proceeds to remove citizen Claudia Pavlovich Arellano from the list of militants, for legal purposes as may be appropriate.”

Pavlovich has not fixed any position on the matter, in fact, his last post on Twitter was on September 11, 2021 on the eve of concluding her term as governor of Sonora.

Alejandro Moreno, national leader of the PRI, warned since the end of last year that any former governor who accepts a position in the government of President López Obrador will be ejected from that match.
